How did the process of our organic dog food start?
At LOONAWELL we have created what we call “The Excellence List”. In essence, our CEO and Biomedical Scientist, our Food Scientist, and our Veterinarian Nutritionist sat down and each wrote what would be a list of criteria they’d like to see in dog food, in order to call it excellent. Then we combined all the items, of all 3 lists, and LOONAWELL’s Excellence List was born.
This list posed a scientific, technological, and business challenge, but after months of research and obsessive perseverance, LOONAWELL proudly presents its latest offerings: Yummy Pork, Fresh Turkey, Delicious Deer, Dorade Delight, and Lamb & Love. Each recipe is a testament to the meticulous care and attention that goes into crafting food that not only meets but exceeds the standards set by the Excellence List.
Point 14 of our Excellence List has taken us on a culinary journey because, at LOONAWELL, we believe that every meal should be a celebration of the bond between humans and their furry friends. We have therefore designed a rigorous and meticulous cooking process, guided by three main steps:
Step 1: Sourcing the Finest Organic Raw Materials:
LOONAWELL ensures that only the highest quality organic ingredients are used in every recipe. From organic pork to organic free-range turkey and deer, each ingredient is carefully selected to meet the company's strict standards for quality and sustainability.
Step 2: Creating a Nutritious, flavorful broth:
For each recipe, a nutritious and flavorful broth is created to elevate the nutritional profile and delicacy of the dish. This laborious process takes at least six hours but is considered essential to elevate LOONAWELL's recipes to the most demanding standards.
Step 3: Meticulously Preparing and Assembling Ingredients:
After the broth is prepared, all ingredients are meticulously assembled and combined. The final mixture undergoes a heat treatment that ensures the preservation of each dish in its respective cans while also preserving the nutritional wholesomeness and flavors.
